First Movie…No Problem. April 1, 2009

For quite a while now I have been telling Keith that I wanted to take Ellie to a movie.  Every time I mention it Keith has this look like I am telling him it’s time to go to the doctor, which those of you men over 30 know is not fun due to the possible probing that may take place.  A couple of weeks ago while the TV was on the preview for Monsters vs. Aliens came on.  Ellie looked at the television and said, “I wanna see that movie”, so today was the day.  Keith and I both had today off, so I decided we would go to a matinee because it would be cheeper, if you consider $9.25 per person cheep.  At least Ellie was free.  I had packed some snacks for her, but I forgot a drink or even a cup, so when we got to the theater we bought her the smallest size fruit punch they had which had to have been at least 20 oz.  When the guy put it up on the counter Keith actually asked if that was really the smallest size they had.  It was.  Good thing I changed Ellie’s diaper right before the movie.  We went inside the theater and got our seats.  In all other than us there were probably only about eight other people in the theater which was good news for us since we didn’t know if Ellie was going to loose her mind or not.  She sat through the movie in a trance like state, and only once in the middle said that she didn’t want to watch anymore.  When the movie was over, and we were eating lunch, Ellie said, “I wanna watch the movie again”, to which Keith said that we could just send her in by herself since she is free.
