I Used To Never Get Sick. March 12, 2009

My life was a lot different before I had a child.  I used to sleep in, I used to spend a lot of money on myself, and I used to never get sick.  Ok, I guess I can’t say that I never got sick, but I rarely ever got sick.  Since having Ellie, and especially since she has been going to daycare, which is most of her life, I have gotten sick more times than I think I ever have in my life.  I can only imagine that this must be what it’s like to be a first grade teacher.  I always hear about how sick teachers are from all the snotty little hands touching them.  Almost two weeks ago Ellie got sick and she transferred it to me.  For two days last week I could barely get off the couch I felt so awful.  Just as I thought I had kicked that awful thing, today Keith calls me to tell me that he got half way to work and had to turn around because he was sick with some of the same symptoms I had.  Then, as I was driving home I started to have an awful headache, and sore throat.  Is it possible for the same cold to get me twice?  I am stocking up on the Airborne with the hope that I can kick this cold before it starts.
