Keith and I rarely call each other by our names, we usually call each other “Babe”. A couple of weeks ago Ellie caught on to this, because when she and I were in the shower and I told her it was time to get out she yelled “Babe”. You see, when I am done giving Ellie a shower I always call for Keith to come and get her out so that I don’t have to worry about drying off her and myself. When I call him I always yell “Babe”. Unless of course he doesn’t come because he doesn’t hear me, then I yell “KEITH”, and it is much louder. So back to my story, She yells “Babe”, which we both thought was very funny and cute. Well now she has started referring to us both as “Babe” all the time. Just today she has said, “Hi Babe”, “Got it Babe”, and “Let’s go Babe” at different times today. She also occasionally calls Keith by his first name, which I think is awesome.
Ellie has a great sense of humor, whether she knows it or not.
As long as she doesn’t start saying, “You’ve got it dude!” we’re good. We don’t need need a resurrection of Michelle Tanner catch phrases.
Caleb does that on occasion too. It’s pretty funny.
