Today was Ellie’s 2nd birthday. Two years ago today Eleanor Mae Dickson joined our family weighing a ridiculous 9 lbs. 12 oz. and 22 inches long, and it was just under two years ago that I didn’t believe that I would make it to this day. I was sure that she would drive me incurably mad. But alas she didn’t, and thanks to some wonderful anti-depressants, today I am just fine. This year we did the same thing for her birthday that we did last year. I don’t know if we are starting a tradition, I guess only time will tell. Joined by our friends the Huttons, minus Mike, we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific and then to Bubba Gump’s where Ellie got a birthday song sung to her and ice cream all over herself. So much ice cream in fact that even after cleaning her up Keith and I still cringed at the thought of having to carry her because her clothes were so wet and sticky. In her two short years Ellie has discovered that some of her favorite things are princesses, juice, soup, tickling people, making faces, shoes, screaming loudly, and lying by saying “No” when we have asked her if she has pooped in her diaper. In honor of this oh so special day I thought that I would share with you an absurd number of my favorite Ellie pics.
