For the past few days Ellie-Bean has had an awful cough and runny nose with some pretty awesome yellow-green snot. Keith kept saying that we should take her to the doctor, but I knew that all they were going to say was that she has a cold, and there’s not much we can do about it. Plus, it costs us $50 to take her to the after hours doctor and she has a regular check-up appointment scheduled for Wednesday anyway. I was hoping that we could put it off until then, but I also knew that she would have to go to daycare on Monday and Tuesday and they wouldn’t let her in if she were not on antibiotics, so this morning Keith took her to get checked out while I was at work. It turns out that she has ear infections in both of her ears, which is nothing new for The Bean. This is actually the fourth time that she has had double ear infections, and each time we have found out by accident. You see, Ellie never complains about pain, which is why we don’t know when there is something wrong with her. We only find out because we take her to the doctor for something else and they say “Yup, she has two pretty bad infections in her ears”. I’m amazed that she isn’t deaf yet, but then again a lot of her words are begining to make less and less sense. Anyway, Ellie is good to go as far as daycare is concerned because she will have been on antibiotics for over 48 hrs by Monday. Unfortunatly, she will not be well enough to go to the nursery at church which means that I will have to bring her into the regular service with me…that should be fun.
On another note, since we don’t have cable Keith and I watch whatever we can find on TV. Now I know some of you are going to be jealous but tonight we are watching REO Speedwagon in concert. I know, I’m the luckiest woman alive.
